History Walks
While you are studying history at Warwick, it might be worth getting to know the local area. Here are some walks where you can do just this, while learning about the environmental, industrial, music and food history of the local area, among other things. We suggest that you use the Warwick History Student Engagement Community Space on Teams to arrange to meet up and take a stroll through the scenery and history of the surrounding area.
If you have any ideas for walks in the area that you would like to add or you would like to get involved in the History Walks Oral History Project, contact Rosie on R.Doyle.1@warwick.ac.uk
You might also be interested in getting involved in some research about the local area and/ or about walking. Some of the Student Fellow Research Assistants in the Department of History compiled a bibliography for research on walking and wrote some initial pieces for the History Walks Oral History Project.
