Italian with German

The below course structure is indicative. Modules on offer change year on year, dependent on staff research interests and availablility.

Year One

Core Modules
  Modern Italian Language I (at Beginners', Intermediate or Advanced level) (30 Credits)
  Modern German Language I (30 Credits) or Modern German Language for Beginners
  The History of Modern Italy (30 Credits) 
Optional Modules
  Translation: Methods and Practice (30 Credits)
  Or an approved outside option.

Year Two/Three - Spent abroad

Year Two/Three

  You are required to take 120 credits, 90 in Italian Studies and 30 in German
Core Modules
  Modern Italian Language ll or Modern Italian Language IlI (30 Credits)
  Modern German Language II (30 Credits)
Optional Modules
 

Intermediate year options in Italian Studies (30-60 credits)

Intermediate year SMLC options (0-30 credits)

Year Four

  You are required to take 120 credits, 90 in Italian Studies and 30 in German
Core Modules
  Modern Italian Language IV (30 credits)
  Either Modern German Language III (GE401) or an approved option offered by German Studies (30 credits)
Optional Modules
 

Final year options in Italian Studies (30-60 credits)
