Hispanic Studies with Linguistics

The below course structure is indicative. Modules on offer change year on year, dependent on staff research interests and availability.

Year One

Core Modules
Optional Modules
Choose two of the following
  Language, Text and Identity in the Hispanic World (HP103-30)
  Images and Representations of the Hispanic World (HP104-30)
  Icons of the Hispanic World (HP105-30)
  OR an approved external module (30 credits)

Year Two/Three

Core Modules
  Modern Spanish Language II or Modern Spanish Language II post-beginners
  Linguistics: Structure, Sound and Meaning
Optional Modules
Any SMLC module (0-30 credits)

Year Two/Three - Spent Abroad

Year Four

Core Modules
  Modern Spanish Language III
Optional Modules
An approved outside option (0-30 credits)
Linguistics Dissertation (ET315-30) or two of the following modules (30 credits)
