Coventry Cathedral Multilingual Family Visitor Activities

Our team of staff and students developed the activities for the booklet on the themes of peace and reconciliation and included a Scavenger Hunt, wordsearches, crosswords based on artworks in the Cathedral and languages based fun tasks. The booklets were on display in the main nave during the schools summer holidays alongside a table with our Tree of Peace where visitors could write messages on peace and display them on the tree. The Coventry Young Poet Laureate Aamani Kanda also wrote us a poem on the theme especially for the booklet and as part of the Mother Tongue Other Tongue Poetry Competition.

Online activities

These interactive activities have been created by staff and students from the School of Modern Languages, in collaboration with colleagues from Flexible Online Learning at the University of Warwick. They explore the theme of “Language Learners as Peacemakers” to celebrate the University’s 60th anniversary.

We warmly invite you to enjoy these activities as a way to discover the themes of peace and reconciliation through different languages. Whenever you can, take the opportunity to explore the beautiful Coventry Cathedral and let the experience inspire you.
