Meet Tanisha Bhatara (BA, English Literature, 2022; MSc, Management, 2024), a distinguished alumna. Guided by mentors, she explored new fields and is now on a graduation scheme with EY UKI (Ernst & Young Global Limited UK and Ireland) Assurance Graduate Programme to become a qualified accountant. The University of Warwick has launched a new multi subject work experience programme to inspire the next generation of engineers and artists.

The programme welcomed 80 Year 10 students across multiple disciplines for a week long programme, collaborating to design innovative projects from festivals to factory systems.

The programme was launched by The University of Warwick’s Widening Participation team, alongside Warwick Manufacturing Group Outreach, the Faculty of Arts, and Warwick Arts Centre.

Christine works as a gallery tour guide, librarian and researcher at Compton Verney Art Gallery, They draw on inspiration from their enriching experience as a mature student at Warwick.

The Arts Faculty is holding an undergraduate elective choice module fair on Tuesday, 30^th April 2024 from 13.00 – 16.00 in the FAB on the ground floor and on the mezzanine.

The fair is aimed at first year and second year UG students choosing their elective modules for the following year.

Representatives will be present from across our Arts departments and disciplines: Classics & Ancient History, Cultural Media Policy Studies, Design Studies, English & Comparative Literary Studies, Film & Television Studies, Global Sustainable Development, History, History of Art, Liberal Arts, Modern Languages and the Language Centre, Theatre and Performance Studies, Warwick Writing Programme.

Also present will be representatives from IATL, WIISP, Warwick Business School’s Gateway to Business, School of Law, SELCs – Teaching Education and Education Studies, Warwick Award, Student Opportunity plus the Arts Study Café and the Digital Arts and Humanities Lab.

Having only graduated in 2022, his achievements are centered around his willingness to step outside his comfort zone.

Two Warwick alumni have scooped the win at the StudyUK Awards that celebrates UK higher education and achievements of alumni across the world.

The prestigious international awards, hosted by the British Council, had more than 1,450 applications from 100 countries. The selected winners, who all studied at UK universities, were chosen from four categories. Kamila Lukpanova (MA Global Media and Communication, 2013) was awarded the Culture and Creativity Award and Yerkenaz Zholymbayeva (MSc Industrial Process Management, 2015) received the Science and Sustainability Award in a ceremony in Kazakhstan

Warwick Award provides students (UG/PGT) with a pathway to get recognition for the skills they develop as part of their course as well as other activities they can get involved with. Students can claim points by reflecting on all of these different activities through a process that helps them articulate the skills and experience they have learned. So far there are 52 students from the Faculty of Arts that have achieved their silver and gold awards. On this page we are showcasing six of our student awardees and their thoughts after participating in the scheme. In particular, they reflect on how useful they think their achievements in the Warwick Award will be to their future life and career after graduation.

Earlier this year, alumna and activist Jo Todd (BA English and European Literature, 1990) received a CBE in recognition of 30+ years’ service to the victims of domestic abuse.
