The dropdown box on the right allows you to see a different view of the calendar, such as an agenda or a termly view.

If this calendar has tags, you can use the labelled checkboxes at the top of the page to select just the tags you wish to view, and then click "Show selected". The calendar will be redisplayed with just the events related to these tags, making it easier to find what you're looking for.

Spotlight: The Oxford Handbook of the Weimar Republic
Online
The co-editors of WFN (Molly Harrabin and Lawrence Alexander) are pleased to welcome the editors of this publication, Nadine Rossol and Benjamin Ziemann, who will talk about their recent publication, The Oxford Handbook of the Weimar Republic. This is a collection of 32 essays, published in 2021, which offers compact, cutting-edge coverage on all major topics in the society, culture, and politics of the Weimar Republic. It features contributions from an international team of multi-disciplinary experts and the Handbook explores neglected topics such as the presence of religion and confessional conflict, the iconography of social identities, and the strength of pro-republican groups and movements. The event will take place online on 23rd March 2022 at 4pm (GMT). Please register your attendance here. Information about the Speakers Dr. Nadine Rossol is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of History at the University of Essex, where she is also Deputy Dean of Partnerships (Europe). Nadine's research interests include German history, in particular the social and cultural history of Weimar and Nazi Germany, as well as European cultural and urban history and police history. Professor Benjamin Ziemann is a Professor of Modern German History at the University of Sheffield. Benjamin's research covers a broad range of topics in German history during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries and in post-1945 Western European history. Molly Harrabin is a first year PhD student in German Studies at the University of Warwick. Molly's research focuses on representations of the 'other' in Weimar cinema and has recently completed an MA where she analysed representations of 'Jewishness' in films of the Weimar Republic. Lawrence Alexander is a PhD candidate at the University of Cambridge’s Centre for Film and Screen. His research focuses on how bodies simultaneously figure as sites of capture and resistance in contemporary moving image practices.
