The 'Amateur Acts' conference takes place 8-10 September 2025 at the University of Warwick's premises in the Palazzo Giustinian Lolin in Venice. This event is hosted by the European Research Council (ERC) funded project 'Performing Citizenship: Social and Political Agency in Non-Professional Theatre Practice in Germany, France, Britain, Sweden and Switzerland (1780-1850)'.
