Professor David Morley teaches poetry in the Warwick Writing Programme. He is a winner of a National Teaching Fellowship and a Warwick Award for Teaching Excellence. His books include Fury, The Magic of What’s There, The Gypsy and the Poet, Enchantment and The Invisible Kings. David wrote the bestselling The Cambridge Introduction to Creative Writing. He also pioneered podcasting in creative writing through his Slow Poetry and Writing Challenges projects. He won the Ted Hughes Award for The Invisible Gift: Selected Poems, and is a Fellow of The Royal Society of Literature and Fellow of The English Association. He has supervised many successful doctoral students and welcomes new proposals for PhDs in poetic practice.
