Biography
Rosa joined the Department of Global Sustainable Development in October 2021, after seven years at the University of Chester, where she was Programme Leader of Economics, and Deputy Head of Department in Social and Political Science. She previously worked at the University of Birmingham and UNED (Spain), with visiting researcher stances at the universities of Exeter, Bradford and York (Canada).
She also brings experience from work both in the private and the public sectors, particularly in Spain, but always in international settings.

Research
Rosa is an applied economist, with an interdisciplinary approach. Her research interests are wide ranging, and cover environment, climate change and energy economics and policies, green economy and green growth, sustainability transitions, health and food poverty, corporate social responsibility and European integration, among others.
Rosa is co-chair of the UACES funded Research Network 'The role of Europe in global challenges: Climate Change and Sustainable Development'. She regularly publishes in peer reviewed journals and edited collections, and is a regular evaluator of projects for COST (European Commission) or the ESRC. She is also reviewer of renowned journals such as Sustainability, Cogent Economics and Finance or the Journal of Common Market Studies.
