Subject: Alternative assessments for GSD modules
I hope this email finds you well and, if you are in the UK, that you have had a chance to enjoy the lovely weather we have been having lately. I also hope that you and your families are all doing well and staying safe and healthy.
We have been working really hard to provide you as soon as possible information on assessments that required alternative assessments due to the current circumstances. As you know, we submitted our proposal as soon as the university informed us about the cancellation of any face-to-face activities. It has however taken a little bit of time to get it all approved, but I am now happy to share with you that our proposals have been approved and that we have received the green light to share them with you ;0).
We have created a webpage with all the GSD modules that still have assessments due in the summer Term. Please have a look. For some of them, the 2 weeks blanket extension is the only change, while others will have a change of format. Module convenors will provide more detailed information on Moodle and are available for any question you might have regarding their modules and assessments.
As you will have seen in the latest newsletter, anything related to exams that were originally centrally timetabled will be shared on Wednesday 22nd of April, so please be aware that the information currently available is for all the other assessments, but that new dates for centrally timetable exams will be released next Wednesday.
I would also like to share with you that colleagues will still have their twice-weekly office hours in Term 3, during which you will be able to meet with them on Microsoft Teams. This information will soon be updated on their webpage, so feel free to email them to arrange a meeting if needed.
With best wishes,
Head of School for Cross-faculty Studies
