Biography

Alfie is a Research Assistant working on the FIDELIO project within the IGSD. His background is in Environmental Geography, having completed an MSc at the University of Amsterdam (2019-2020). During this time Alfie developed interests in the social aspects of Climate Change, with a particular focus on Environmental Governance, Global Political Processes, Sustainable Development, and Inclusive Research Approaches. His thesis focussed on Climate Litigation, examining the interface of Geography, Climate Change and Law to understand how social structures interact with environmental crises. Currently, his work on the FIDELIO project involves managing real-world survey data with a specific focus on temporal and spatial analysis using software such as SPSS and GIS.

FIDELIO: Forecasting Social Impacts of Biodiversity Conservation Policies in Europe. A 5-year research project funded by the European Research Council (2019-2024, 1.5m euros).
