On this Year 2 core module, we explore a key context of contemporary life: consumer capitalist culture.

Drawing on interdisciplinary approaches, we examine consumer cultures and societies, practices of consumption, and what it means to be a consumer.

On this final year module, you will design, develop, and produce an independent, interdisciplinary, research-based project. Your work can be critical, creative, or community-based, and explore any interdisciplinary topic you wish.

For students who joined us in 2022-23 or earlier, your core module requirements will be slightly different from students who began in later years. You are required to take both IP201 and IP205 in second year, and are not required to take any Liberal Arts optional modules (though you are welcome to do so). If you have any questions on the modules that you are required to take for your course, please speak with your personal tutor.

Honours-level optional modules (e.g. 200- and 300-level), Certificates, and Intercalated year opportunities are open to all eligible Liberal Arts students, regardless of start date.
