Dr Outi Lahtinen has a Licentiate of Philosophy. She works as university lecturer of theatre and drama research at University of Tampere. Professor Lahtinen has also worked at University of Helsinki as university lecturer (2008), as a lecturer and scholar (2005-2007) and assistant (2003-2004). She is currently writing her doctoral dissertation about performativity and performance analysis. Her previously published studies concern mainly Finnish theatre from 1990’s onward. Beside her academic work she has worked as a theatre critic since 1996. Her English-language publications include ‘Franz Biberkopf and his double in Helsinki’, in Western European Stages (2002), and ‘A Streetcar Named Viettelys’ (with J.Reinelt), in Western European Stages (2000).
