PhD: Stages of the Sea: 20th Century Theatrical Entertainment in the Royal Navy

Sarah Penny is a PhD candidate at the University of Warwick, UK and serves on the Executive Committee of the International Federation of Theatre Research (IFTR). She received an Erasmus Mundus scholarship for her Masters in International Performance Research at the University of Amsterdam, Netherlands and is currently researching amateur performances in the Royal Navy. This research is part of the AHRC funded project ‘Amateur Dramatics: Crafting Communities in Time and Space’ which collaborates with investigators from RHUL and Exeter University.
