About

Caroline Griffin is a specialist in audience development and organisational change in the cultural and creative sector. In over 14 years experience, working in arts organisations and audience development agencies, Caroline has built a strong reputation and expertise in arts marketing, developing diverse audiences, using new technologies and the relationship between artistic risk and audiences. She was recently audience development consultant on The Shape of Things, a national contemporary crafts project and project manager for A Night Less Ordinary, a national scheme offering free theatre tickets to under 26s.

Currently Caroline is working as Regional Director, Midlands for The Audience Agency, the new national audience development agency.

Caroline is also an accredited Relational Dynamics coach and a trained mentor. She works with clients from the cultural sector. She is an established writer and presenter. Recent publications include Conviviality and the Joy of Making for The Shape of Things, a briefing note on audience development for Audiences Northern Ireland and Voluntary Arts Network and This Way Up: A Flatpack Guide to Marketing the Arts. Other publications include a chapter in the Arts Council England book on approaches to diverse audiences, Navigating Difference.
