Introduction to Research at Warwick
Who is it for?
This workshop is mandatory for academic staff on probation (who will be given priority to attend) but is open to all academic and research staff with an interest in attending.
Session Objectives
Warwick is proud of its research track record and places great emphasis on promoting and supporting research in every department. This session will look at new research initiatives across the university and describe the support mechanisms in place to help staff secure research funds.
By the end of the session you will have gained:
- a greater understanding of the university strategy for research
- an increased awareness of the support available for research from RIS
Is there anything else I need to know?
If you have attended, or are intending to take part in, the APP:TE pathway this workshop is built into the Mandatory 2 day Residential workshop, you do not have to attend this separate workshop.

There is no requirement for you to have previous experience of research as this workshop will focus on research strategies and support in the Warwick context.
This Stand-alone workshop has now been discontinued, and has been amalgamated into the APP:TE's Residential course.
