The Learning and Development Centre (LDC) offers a one-day 'central' workshop and we run this several times in the Autumn term, and also in the Spring and Summer terms depending upon demand.
Key topics include: 'how students learn', 'small group teaching', 'assessment and feedback', and ' tackling challenging situations'.
Dates for central sessions for the 2015/16 academic year are as follows:

We work with the following departments to offer bespoke training sessions -- Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering, English, Languages, Life Sciences, Maths, Statistics, PAIS, Philosophy, Physics, Sociology, Warwick Business School, and WMG. For departmental sessions you should contact whoever is reponsible for postgraduate tutors in your department to find out when the next session is being run.
If you have missed your departmental session or you wish to attend in the Spring or Summer term you can book on a central session.

All postgraduates with more than 20 hours teaching a year are required to attend a training session in preparation for their teaching. This training is offered by LDC in a 'central workshop' or it may be offered locally in your department. See University Guidelines on Postgraduates Who Teach.
