“Evaluation” is a wide concept. It is a process, which is used in all areas of activity in the University. The purposes of evaluation might include:

  • The wish to illuminate a situation generally
  • Quality assurance
  • The wish to improve the effectiveness of a process
  • The need to be more efficient with time, to reduce stress
  • The need to use resources better, and to give value for money

The context might be:

  • Enhancing the students’ experience
  • Enhancing staff’s experience
  • Meeting staff’s need
  • Meeting the University’s needs
  • Meeting national requirements
