Developing Staff & Students Skills

For many people, e-learning approaches offer a new and (to some unfamiliar) way of engaging with material. Staff driving forward innovations in this area therefore need to consider carefully how best to prepare 'users' for these new developments. The articles in this chapter describe strategies for supporting staff and students in their use of technology. The underlying theme is ways of addressing the diverse needs of the different groups coupled with the importance of sustained support at each stage of a project or development. The authors focus on specific examples of approaches at Warwick and, as such, readers would be encouraged to extract the key messages and lessons from these accounts that would be most relevant and useful to apply in their own working context.
