Capturing Remote Performance Work

Many Schools of Theatre Studies bring in expert practitioners from outside the organisations to enhance the learning experience for their students. This can be problematic for many reasons, travel costs can be prohibitive and fitting the schedule of performers in with the students' timetable is often not possible. Information and communication technologies could overcome many of these problems, enabling students to access to a far wider range of expertise than has previously been reached. However, this raises the question of how best to provide and support this access, or even whether it is possible to fully provide a learning experience such as a performance workshop via videoconferencing or the Internet.

Answering these questions is the goal of the ANNIE Project.
