The collaborative awards recognise the work of teams and groups of people who create teaching excellence and have a positive impact upon student learning and the learning experience, and whose approach to collaborative working, their practices, behaviours, and values are in themselves excellent.
Winner - Study, Professional, And Analytical Skills (SPA) Team at WMG
Our interdisciplinary team excels in collaborative teaching through three core goals: addressing 21st-century challenges, delivering inclusive and personalised learning, and engaging students as partners. We promote flexible, student-responsive teaching, embed Education for Sustainable Development, and work closely with GTAs to co-develop effective learning experiences. Our teaching aligns with evolving disciplinary and professional standards, integrating sustainability and core skills to support students in their academic and professional life.Our strong, trusting collaboration is underpinned by a shared vision, rotating leadership, and mentorship. Each member contributes unique expertise, enabling us to create inclusive, reflective, and impactful educational experiences that support both student and tutor development.About the Team
We are a collaborative team of five academics from education, business, engineering, and psychology teaching together in WMG. We design and deliver the interdisciplinary SPA module to over 1,000 postgraduate students at WMG, supporting the development of their study, professional, and analytical skills through innovative, inclusive, and sustainable teaching across six master’s courses.

Highly Commended - Academic Integrity Celebration Team

The Academic Integrity Celebration Team transforms the institutional approach to academic misconduct by fostering a proactive, collaborative culture of integrity. Through inclusive partnerships with staff, students, and professional services, they launch impactful Academic Integrity Celebration events, featuring expert panels, student-led competitions, and interactive outreach. By addressing emerging challenges such as growing influence of AI tools in academia, empowering departmental Student Academic Integrity Champions, and embedding integrity into professional development, the team shifts attitudes from compliance to shared responsibility. Their efforts significantly enhance student engagement, ethical awareness, and academic belonging, setting a benchmark for integrated, values-led teaching excellence.
About the Team
The Academic Integrity Celebration Team, composed of Lee Griffin, Anna Michalska, Alexa Kirkaldy, Kim Robinson, Andrew Calvert, Rhiannon Taylor, Vasileios Marinos and Raneem Dayoub, is dedicated to enhancing academic integrity among university staff and students. Together, they lead organisation of annual Academic Integrity Celebration events.

About the Team
WMS Education Quality Team is a close-knit hybrid academic/professional services team. We collaboratively support wide-ranging quality function across WMS UG, MBChB and PGT, and external education partnerships. We consistently drive enhancement in learner experience, creating positive impact that directly benefits our stakeholders, reflecting the inherently collaborative nature of our work.
