The sharing of outstanding teaching practices and pedagogy is at the heart of WIHEA's aims. Masterclasses allow Warwick staff and students who are engaged in leading and developing learning and teaching to come together and learn from each other.
Masterclasses and Workshops are usually delivered by our Fellows and occasionally also involve invited internal/external guests who together share their experiences, insights, guidance and materials during the one-to-two hour masterclasses and discuss issues or topics of a relevant and practical nature.
This year's key themes are internationalisation, interdisciplinarity and embedding student research activity in the curriculum, as well as signature pedagogies. Masterclasses also provide our Fellows the opportunity to disseminate the outcomes from WIHEA funded projects and Learning Circles with the wider university.
In the past, topics have included:
- Methods of assessment
- Signature pedagogy
- Innovative ways of linking research to teaching
- Using of technology to enhance learning.
WIHEA Fellows and Members are automatically invited to all upcoming Masterclasses and Workshops. The Masterclasses and Workshops that are open to the wider university community are listed at the side, on our news and events page and communicated through insite:whats on.
