CIM welcomes visitors to Warwick! We welcome enquiries from established and early career academics and those working in government, industry or the third sector wishing to make long lasting connections with the Centre.
Format of visitsVisits may last for a few weeks up to six months full-time (or longer if part-time, for example, one day a week for a year) and are individually tailored. During your visit, you will be invited to engage with the Centre research environment by attending research seminars, Centre events and other activities. During your visit, normally you would be expected to contribute to some aspect of the Centre’s work, for example:
- Contributing to blogs, academic articles, grant proposals
- Developing curricula, teaching materials or running a masterclass
- Hosting or contributing to seminars, lectures and workshops.
Opportunities for funded visits
There are several opportunities to apply for funded visits and collaborations. These are some examples, but other schemes may also be suitable:
Marie Skłodowska-Curie Research and Innovation Staff Exchange (RISE) – deadline to be confirmed but usually around April.
The Centre especially welcomes enquiries from those working across government, industry and the third sector in the UK and internationally. We are keen to expand our network of contacts, so please get in touch to discuss possible ways of working together.
Postdoctoral scholars interested in visiting the Centre for a specific research purpose should directly contact the staff member(s) interested in that area. All other applicants should send a CV, a 1-page outline of what they will do during the visit. Applicants should explain how their interests intersect with those of the Centre and how their visit will be of mutual benefit. Enquiries should be made directly to the Director, Professor Celia Lury: email@example.com.
Students and alumni
Prospective and former students are always welcome to the Centre. Please contact the Centre Administrator, Jennie Sharp, for further information: J.Sharp@warwick.ac.uk.
