Welcome to Ingenuity 2021!

Ingenuity 2021 is a nationwide programme pioneered by the University of Nottingham; and we, the University of Warwick, are very proud to be hosting Ingenuity West Midlands, enabling us to explore challenges with a regional focus. Here is a short introduction from Ingenuity Director, Steve Chapman:

The Ingenuity Programme is a partnership between universities, corporates, SMEs, and public and third sector organisations. Ingenuity is looking to invest £400,000 in bold new business ideas that will tackle society’s challenges. They are interested in finding the best and brightest ideas that will make the greatest impact across the UK.

What are the Challenges?

  • Building Community
  • Tackling Climate Change
  • Improving Health
  • Creating Prosperity

Who is eligible?

Anyone who wants to make a social, environmental, and/or economic impact. For example you could be a member of staff, a student, alumni or external to the University. For further information or to apply visit the official Ingenuity Impact website. (If you're unsure please get in touch: enterprise@warwick.ac.uk)

Do I need to have an idea?

We welcome people with or without ideas to participate. If you don't have an idea you will be given information on real-world issues around these key themes and you will be supported to work collaboratively to generate potential solutions to these complex issues.

Do I need experience?

No, all we need is people with enthusiasm and a passion for making an impact/difference. In fact, this is a great way to develop and demonstrate key skills, such as: working collaboratively, being innovative, pitching, project and time management skills and more.
