TERM 1 HIGHLIGHTS
We’ve had an extremely exciting first term with our Innovation Fellows joining us, helping us to deliver several events aimed at Warwick University students related to enterprise and innovation. Here’s some highlights of last term:
21st October – 19th November 2019
Last term saw Her Innovation Collective (HIC) bring women on campus together to identify, embrace and follow their passions and ideas, ultimately to realise that there are no barriers to success, especially when we all unite our energies.
Global Entrepreneurship week was incredible! One of our favourite weeks of the year – seeing as it’s all about us. We were delighted to offer a whole suite of activities that students could engage in, across 7 events where students explored enterprise and innovation in its broadest sense, ranging from using Lego to sustainable banking.
Warwick Secret Challenge
We hosted several Warwick Secret Challenges during the first term which saw 85 students work in teams to tackle 3 hour challenges based around different themes.
Student Enterprise Fund
We also, saw a record breaking number of applications for the Student Enterprise Fund; the judges were extremely impressed by many of the applicants and their ideas and as such funded 17 ideas totalling £8,300.
Creative & Digital
In October we held a launch event for our new Creative & Digital Initiative. We were joined by 180 guests from different creative industries to celebrate the creative and digital work in the local area and share ideas on how we can work together in the future.
