Warwick Secret Challenge

Expect brainstorming, teamwork, thinking outside the box and FREE FOOD!

Secret Challenge

Our next Warwick Secret Challenge will focus on violent crime and student safety in the city – join this workshop challenge to think about real-life solutions for real-life problems.

Monday 24 February, 2-5pm, (based 2nd floor Ramphal).

Prizes to be won!

In this Warwick Secret Challenge, you will be working in interdisciplinary teams of students to improve student safety in cities. You will learn design thinking, brainstorm solutions, and ultimately present your ideas in relation to improving safety in city centres.

On top of brainstorming, teamwork, and learning to think outside the box, you will get FREE FOOD and the chance for your team to win up to £100 in Amazon vouchers as the winning team, along with up to £50 up for grabs for the two runners up teams.

Before registering, consider whether attending this workshop about violence and crime is appropriate for you.

If you have been affected by violent crime before, or know someone who has, this workshop may provoke uncomfortable thoughts and/or feelings.

Even if you haven’t been affected, you must respect other students and be appropriately sensitive when working together on such personal and serious topics.

Register now to avoid disappointment.

Please fill out the form below to register for the Warwick Secret Challenge.

What is the Warwick Secret Challenge?

Warwick Secret Challenge is an interdisciplinary brainstorming workshop with elements of design thinking. It was developed and piloted in 2017/18 by a team of Warwick students as an opportunity to meet other students and learn beyond the boundaries of a degree and department.

During the workshop you will focus on a secret challenge. Students from different disciplines and backgrounds will come together in teams of around 4 or 5. The teams will be guided through various activities to help them unpick their secret challenge and collectively generate ideas on how it might be solved.

The information you give will help with team allocation, so please provide details of any activities and interests outside of your degree/discipline. Students from all study levels and disciplines are welcome to register.

Please note that submitting this form and receiving the form receipt email does not guarantee a place on the Warwick Secret Challenge.
