Apply for a Fernandes Fellowship

Application Procedure

Open for applications for visits to be completed by end of 2022.

Applications can be submitted at any time and will be reviewed on a monthly basis until funds are fully allocated. Proposals will be reviewed by a small college comprising representatives of the IAS, ISR and relevant academics.

Applications cannot be submitted independently by the potential Fellow. All applications must be made by a member of Warwick academic staff (including probationary academic staff & holders of major externally funded research fellowships). The nominator(s) will be responsible for hosting and supporting the fellow throughout the duration of the Fellowship.

Applications are made by submitting the following documents using the online form below;

  1. An application form . An "express" version of this form may be used where the proposed visitor is in immediate danger - express form. The form must be completed in line with the guidance given below and be signed by the Warwick applicant and Head of Department (or nominated representative). Electronic signatures are acceptable.
  2. A CV (maximum 4 pages, in English) for the proposed Fellow highlighting any publications, activities or achievements that are especially relevant to this application.
  3. A letter or email from an appropriate senior individual at the Fellow’s current institution (e.g. Head of Department) in support of the visit and describing the prospects for the development of longer term research links.
  4. A completed Equal Opportunities survey which can be filled online.
