Test-Cases in Shameful Sociability

Shame Banner
Using a psychosocial framework, Test-Cases in Shameful Sociability investigates the peculiar and often perplexing dynamics of shame as they animate the social scene, and call into question the distinction between the public and private spheres. The project is organised around a series of interdisciplinary test-cases designed to bring together researchers and practitioners from a variety of disciplines who share an interest in the cultural dynamics of shame. Further information can be found on the tabs above. Please do get in touch if you would like to find out more about the project (
