Global Shakespeare Research Fellow Dr Preti Taneja launches her novella, 'Kumkum Malhotra'

Film collaboration came from Selina Robertson, with Ania Ostrowska curating the night and music DJ'd by Frances Morgan. The event was sold out! Money - a good amount - was raised but the Library still needs support.

'Kumkum Malhotra' won the Gatehouse Press New Fictions Prize 2014 and was published in June. It's won praise from writers including Deborah Levy: 'Preti Taneja is a writer to watch,' and Stella Duffy: 'Preti Taneja’s beautiful novella is evocative, elegant, sparse and yet enormously full. A story that, to many of us, might seem ‘other’, becomes inclusive and deeply engaging, all of it woven from a single loose thread.”

It's now on sale online or you can order it from any good bookshop.

Preti will be launching Kumkum Malhotra again in Cambridge on October 13 - the event is free but places are limited so please register to attend. We'd be delighted to see you there!
