Training Opportunities

The International Conference of Undergraduate Research (ICUR) is supported by a team at Warwick who offer various training opportunities for you to prepare for the conference to help you make the most of your ICUR Experience. During the winter and spring we have been running ‘Learn about ICUR’ informational sessions and ‘How to Write an Abstract’ training seminars and drop-in sessions. We hope you have had the chance to attend one of these training events.

The training sessions for ICUR applicants have already passed, however further sessions may be scheduled before ICUR in September and will be advertised here and on other social media.

The training sessions subjects:
1) Intercultural Communication: This session is intended to equip you with the communication and delivery skills to present your research to an interdisciplinary and international audience. It includes lots of essential information on making the most of intercultural interactions in general and with specific reference to the context of ICUR.

2) Presentation Skills Training: An interactive session on making the most of this opportunity to communicate your research. From presentation design to delivery, an essential guide for all prospective ICUR attendees.

Note that ALL VOLUNTEERS must attend the training on Monday 24th September 2018, 9am – 10am, Ramphal RO.12. If you have any questions about this please contact ICUR@warwick.ac.uk.
