New Reinvention Special Issue

Reinvention Journal's new Special Issue on the theme of intertextuality, myth and poetry is now available to read online, showcasing research and poetry by the 2020/21 cohort of students on the Reeling and Writhing module at the University of Warwick

The first of our 2 annual Student Focus Groups took place on Weds 2nd February, chaired by IATL’s co-creator Wiki Jeglinska

IATL’s Student Voice Reps are some of our unsung heroes. They are the team of students who volunteer (or are volunteered) to represent the opinions, thoughts and experiences of the students on our modules, not just at the end of the module, but as it is happening, right in the heart of the learning. The insights they provide feed into our module reviews, evaluations and inform our action plans. They have made a huge impact, from helping us redesign our module pages to consulting on assessments and new modules.

Found Sound Cycling launched

Found Sound brings together alumni artists and interdisciplinary academics to showcase sound archive as part of the City of Culture programme. This new version of the project samples materials from the National Cycling Archive at the Modern Records Centre and has been created by Jonathan Heron and Kieran Lucas, in collaboration with James Ball (funded by the Centre for Digital Inquiry).

Understanding Wellbeing: Online Module for all Warwick Students

We are very excited to be able to share with you our brand-new online module ‘Understanding Wellbeing’, open to all Warwick students. This co-created, not for credit (CATS), HEAR Accredited module, aims to provide students with a safe space and a helping-hand to begin or continue their own wellbeing journey. Students can explore the module at their own pace throughout the academic year.For more information, click here. Times Higher Education: Most Read Resources of 2021 and Podcast

We are pleased to announce that Dr Elena Riva’s article on Wellbeing Pedagogies was one of the most read resources on THE in 2021. To celebrate this, Elena recently featured on a THE podcast about her contribution in which she shares her advice on practices that can be implemented to positively impact student wellbeing, inclusive teaching strategies and enabling classroom environments. Illuminations: WIHEA Funded Project

Illuminations is a WIHEA funded project, building on the work of the Wellbeing Pedagogies Learning Circle and engagement with the Warwick Wellbeing Strategy. Our primary interest at this stage is to explore different ways of talking and thinking about workplace wellbeing with different stakeholder groups across the university. The aim is to help locating and illuminating ways in which institutional work practices, processes, and procedures, in a post Covid-19 landscape, enhance and/or inhibit the wellbeing of student-facing staff at Warwick.

Co-creation Officers Conversation

Our Co-creation Officers created a podcast to explain their role in the department and shine some light on our co-creative practices. This recording is a conversation between past and present Co-creation Officers ─ Lanaire Aderemi, Lily Rose Fitzmaurice, Pula Prakash, Marco Marques, Wiki Jeglinska & Sara Lovecka ─ as well as with Naomi de la Tour who created the role and Ben Hayday who helped with the project's initiation. IATL Project Support for staff and students continues to be available on a rolling basis. The maximum amount of funding available has now been increased to £10,000. Consultation meetings with IATL staff (including our Student Co-creator Officers) can be arranged on request, to discuss any project ideas or plans that staff and students may have.

Story Story Podcast by IATL Co-Creation Officer

Story Story is a four part audio history series that explores important events in Nigeria’s history through dramatisation and immersive sound scaping. It has been created by Lanaire Aderemi, one of IATL’s Co-Creation Officers and pulls forgotten Nigerian histories from the margin to the centre.
