A three-day festival that celebrates and continues to develop the exciting work of Warwick alumni theatre artists and companies (including Alex Roberts, Clown Funeral and Emergency Chorus).
Through performances and workshops, Emerge 2021 addresses questions of personal identity and how we navigate the complex world we live in today.
An on-going collaboration between Warwick Arts Centre, Institute for Advanced Teaching and Learning (IATL) and the Department of Theatre and Performance.
was established by Warwick Arts Centre (WAC
) and the Institute for Advanced Teaching and Learning (IATL
) in collaboration with the Department of Theatre and Performance Studies (SCAPVC
). At the inaugural 2014 Emerge Festival and Laboratory, graduate theatre companies (including Dumbshow, Fat Git, FellSwoop, Kill the Beast) and alumni artists participated in four days of events and experiments. In 2015, Emerge
celebrated the university’s 50th
anniversary through Warwick 2065: Performance and the University
alongside touring work from graduate companies including FellSwoop, Barrel Organ and Walrus. In 2016, Barrel Organ
curated the festival and formed their own student ensemble.
