This project will develop and pilot a protocol for delivering digitally-based short courses to a broad range of community and health sector stakeholders. The protocol will incorporate best-practice video-capture and utilise an interactive virtual learning environment for delivery. The project will also involve stakeholder engagement in the development and delivery of content, as well as a thorough evaluation of the resulting courses. Two courses will be piloted (Advanced Practitioner Training: Eating Behaviour and Clinical Systems Risk Management). These will be delivered in collaboration with WMS and Coventry and Warwickshire Hospitals NHS Trust.

Professor Caroline Meyer is based in the Institute for Digital Healthcare (IDH) at Warwick Manufacturing Group. She is a psychologist with a strong track record in the field of human behaviour. For almost 20 years, she has worked in the fields of eating behaviour and physical activity. She has recently taken on the role of Professor of Digital Healthcare, with a focus on understanding the interactions between health-related technologies and people. Specifically, she is interested in developing digital interventions to change behaviour and measuring the impact of health technology (e.g. communication systems, sensors, feedback and targeted digital treatments) on people's behaviour and cognition. Much of her work has centred on patients and healthcare professionals. Additionally, she is now exploring the impact of technology on other stakeholders (e.g. employers, carers, teachers, coaches and those working in industry). Professor Meyer is Head of Education at IDH.
