The British Conference of Undergraduate Research 2014 was held at the University of Nottingham on 14th and 15th April 2014. For more information on the event please visit the BCUR website and the conference page. Congratulations to the 53 students from Warwick who were selected to attend this event and present their research in poster and spoken presentations. This was the largest number of students from any one institution attending BCUR.
IATL and Student Careers and Skills provided support to BCUR students with their presentations / posters. Additionally, the archive of material from the BCUR 2012 event at Warwick provided videos of presentations and electronic versions of posters for inspiration.
Posters in Parliament
Recently the Warwick students who submitted the two best abstracts for poster presentations to BCUR were given the opportunity to first present their research posters at the second annual 'Posters in Parliament' event. The winning students were Zoe Kristensen and M.B. Che Rozenan, who travelled to London to exhibit their posters to Members of Parliament and the public on February 25th, 2014.
Monash-Warwick Travel Fellowship
At BCUR itself, spoken presentations by Warwick students were viewed and assessed, and the student deemed to have given the best overall presentation was offered the chance to travel to Monash University in Melbourne, Australia to present their research at the second annual ICUR conference in September 2014. More information about ICUR can be found at icurportal.com.
