In three words or phrases how would you describe your supervision style?

Technique driven, collaborative, supportive.

In one or two sentences please describe your strategies regarding the following.
Provision of training:

I prefer to take responsibility for your technical training at first, leading to more independence later, although you will be closely integrated into the research team and culture.

Progression monitoring and management:

I like to be kept up to date and will expect to see evidence of data generation or active engagement in the group’s activities on a weekly basis.

I have high expectations and will support you to your full potential, providing advice and guidance to help you reach the goals we mutually set for you.

Communication:

The team has an online resource (Microsoft Teams) which we use to regularly communicate during the week and, sometimes on weekends. Whilst I expect you to keep up with my/ team communications I will also encourage you to seek a healthy work/life balance.

I am always happy to discuss any issues that are impacting your ability to fulfil your potential.
