EU Research Projects in Progress

Calling all European funded project staff!

Join the network now for access to our member-only pages, including F.A.Qs. on how to tackle certain aspects of EU funding like audits, project management, finances, event planning and cost eligibility. We also provide a series of helpful documents, advice on travel and working relationships abroad, and useful links to EU documents.
Past network sessions have covered: website design and development; project management techniques; the 'soft' side of research (managing relationships and cultural differences); overview of current training courses available; dissemination of new guidelines for research management; designing a new online timesheet system; developing the University document retention policy; Open Access Publishing and Horizon 2020 proposal planning.

So, if you run a European funded project and feel that you could benefit from, or contribute to a network to share knowledge and experience, join us today.

The University of Warwick is home to many major research projects, each one staffed by people like you.

Next PiPs Event

The next PiPS event will take place on Wednesday 9th March 2016, 10.00- 12.00 at the Wolfson Research Exchange I, Library Floor 3 .

We are inviting everyone that managers/administers/supports an EU funded project (of any kind, ERC starter, ERC advanced, FP7, Horizon 2020, Marie Curie etc.). With the University working to increase its EU funding this network can continue as platform allowing us to share our expertise and knowledge. We hope to invite speakers in the furture and broaden our network to include members of other local universities to learn how they manage EU projects.

The Agenda:

  • Project/s updates and issues encountered in FP7 and H2020 projects;

  • Eligible and non-eligible costs in FP7 and H2020 projects;

  • Reporting in H2020;

  • Document retention;

  • AOB;

If you have any ideas about the network and/or something you want on future agendas then please email
