Diabetes Specialist Library to publish update on diabetic retinopathy

NHS logoThe Diabetes Specialist Library, based at the University of Warwick, will publish the second National Knowledge Week (NKW) for Diabetic Retinopathy from 10 - 16 June to coincide with National Diabetes Week.

The first NKW for Diabetic Retinopathy, published in June 2006, consists of recent evidence on the topic presented with user friendly expert summaries. The 2007 NKW for Diabetic Retinopathy will provide an update to include any pertinent literature published in the intervening 12 months. The content of the updated knowledge week will be presented in the Library and freely available from 10 June.

National Knowledge Weeks are a National Library for Health (NLH) information initiative designed to provide the busy health professional with an annual update on the recent evidence in a pertinent health topic.

The updates consist of evidence selected using rigorous criteria and organised on the basis of hot topics suggested by acknowledged experts.  Each topic section contains user friendly summaries written by the experts, presented with links to the evidence, guidelines and patient information.
