Warwick anatomy films at top of iTunes U chart

Anatomy films created by Warwick Medical School and featuring plastinated specimens from Gunther von Hagens' laboratory are at the top of the iTunes U chart.

Professor Peter Abrahams, Warwick's Chair of Clinical Anatomy, took part in a series of seven films exploring the anatomy of various parts of the body. The films include the hand, lungs, and the heart.

The films, also involving University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire, were added to the University of Warwick's iTunes U site earlier this year and they have been at No.1 or No.2 in the Health and Medicine download chart. They have also now broken into the top 20 for overall downloads on the iTunes U site.

Warwick on iTunes U was launched in January 2008 and already there has been more than 100,000 downloads across all content. The University has now published 428 programmes on the service.
