Warwick Dean opens new hospital teaching facilities

Warwick Medical School Dean Professor Yvonne Carter has officially unveiled Warwick Hospital's new Clinical Skills Room. The facility has been developed and equipped to aid the practical teaching and training of all clinical professionals at the hospital, including student doctors and nurses.

Dr Chris Marguerie, Director of Studies and Consultant in Rheumatology, gave the keynote speech at the opening ceremony this month. Newly qualified doctor and Warwick Medical School graduate Mark Maddock also entertained the audience with his experiences as a student at Warwick Hospital.

 Professor Carter said the new Clinical Skills Room would be a vital tool for Warwick students. She added: "In this new facility our students can practise medical procedures in a safe environment to perfect their techniques. "
