Research Summary

We are interested in the development of useful new synthetic methodology of broad utility for organic synthesis. This particularly involves transition metal catalysis, including asymmetric catalysis. Our interests include: 1) Sustainable chemistry for efficient chemical synthesis; 2) Organofluorine chemistry, particularly fluorination using nucleophilic fluoride salts; 3) Metal catalysed reactions that e.g. increase chemical complexity, especially involving asymmetric catalysis 4) Studying the mechanism of metal-catalysed reactions. 5) Bioimaging using 18F Positron Emission Tomography.
