Project Details:

Neil works on the gas phase project of the Stavros group, investigating the primary photochemistry and photophysics of simple, biologically relevant chromophores. By studying the underlying building blocks of biological molecules, a "bottom-up" approach helps us understand the photochemistry of larger systems. Current work is focused on the photochemistry of pyrrole derivatives, e.g. 2-ethyl pyrrole.
