Welcome to Chemistry

Congratulations on achieving your place at Warwick Chemistry! We look forward to meeting you in September and helping you settle into University life. As a new student, you will be assigned a Personal Tutor who will support and guide you during the course of your studies, as well as a student mentor who will be able to share their experience and answer any questions you may have about being a student here at Warwick.

Please feel free to get in touch if you have any queries in the meantime!

Before you arrive

You don't need to buy anything for your course - we will give you everything you need including access to electronic textbooks, a laboratory coat, safety glasses and a molecular modelling kit. However, if you do want to make a start on some background reading over the summer, we recommend Maths for Chemists by Martin Cockett and Graham Doggett, 2nd edition.

We really encourage you to attend one of the slots and you are welcome to choose whichever one works best for you.
  • Take a break – an informal way to meet Wellbeing team, who will be out on the grass in front of the Senate House every day during Welcome week from 11am- 3pm. Just come along to say hi, have a chat, grab a tea/coffee and find out what the team offers.
