CSC Researchers in £5.3M Materials Research Effort

A multi-disciplinary research team involving CSC academics has been awarded a research grant of £5.3M from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council.

The research, which involves six UK institutions and collaboration with world-leading experimental groups, will investigate the mechanisms by which nature controls the shape, growth and assembly of "hard" materials into intricate structures such as shell, teeth and bone.  Building on earlier successes in this area, research at Warwick will employ state of the art computational techniques to gain molecular level insight into nature's nano-scale engineering.  The research effort at Warwick will be led by Prof. P. Mark Rodger and Dr Tiffany Walsh.
