Computational Fluid Dynamics

Synopsis

CFD is predicting what will happen, quantitatively, when fluids flow, often with the complications of, e.g., simultaneous flow of heat, mass transfer, chemical reaction (eg combustion, rusting), mechanical movement (eg of pistons, fans, rudders), stresses, etc.
