I was a PhD student at the University of Warwick and submitted my thesis in 2020.
I studied Chemistry at Birmingham University and gained my Masters in E-Commerce at Birmingham City University. I am a fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
I am currently Head of School for Computing at Arden University. I was previously a Senior Lecturer in ICT at Newman University and a Senior Lecturer in Multimedia and IT at Birmingham City University.
I am interested in the use of mobile technologies in teaching and more generally how students use technology for learning. For my PhD I investigated the extent to which frameworks for mobile learning adequately address how students use mobile devices across differing cultural contexts. I interviewed students in Japan, China and the UK as part of my study.
I have taught variety of modules including Web Design, Multimedia, Knowledge Base Development, Mobile Application Development, Internet and Society and E-Commerce. I'm familiar with a range of tools and technologies including Moodle, Drupal, HTML, CSS, Flash/Actionscript, Flash Builder, Photoshop, Fireworks etc.
