James Davis

I first attended Warwick in 2004, receiving an MEng in Computer Science in 2008. Since then I have undertaken a PhD, completing in 2017 with my thesis "Analytical Modelling for the Performance Prediction and Optimisation of Near-Neighbour Structured Grid Hydrodynamics".

I currently work as a post-doctoral research assistant in the High Performance and Scientific Computing Group, part of the Systems and Software division.

My research areas of interest include performance analysis, performance modelling and the application of such techniques towards the optimisation of existing scientific codebases.

Within the department I have been involved with many modules over the years.

This year I am the module organiser for CS258 (Database Systems) and oversee the algorithms component of CS917 (Foundations of Computing).
