I am a postgraduate in the High Performance Systems Lab within the Computer Science Department, under the supervision of Prof. Stephen Jarvis and Dr Suhaib Fahmy. Before my PhD I worked for QinetiQ and Simulity. I undertook Computer Systems Engineering MEng at Bangor University prior to this.
My research is primarily on modelling and simulating communications and input-output (IO) for HPC applications - specifically physics applications that make use of linear solvers. Currently I am focusing on evaluating simulators that are currently avaliable. One such simulator the Structural Simulation Toolkit (SST) simulator from Sandia National Laboratories which looks promising for simulating multiple elements inside HPC systems.
