Abeer Almowallad

My name is Abeer Almowallad, and I am a PhD student candidate at the Computer Science Department under the supervision of DR. Victor Sanchez. I am a member of Warwick University's Signal and Information Processing (SIP) Lab, where I work on the application of facial emotion analysis from images using deep learning methods.

Research Interest

My main interest is in facial emotion analysis from images, as I am working on recognising the intensity of each emotion among a mixture of several emotions. To achieve this goal, I am employing deep learning methods based on CNNs and modified convolutional layers.

Work Experience

2011- present: Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science at Taif University's College of Computers and Information Technology in Taif, Saudi Arabia.

2010-2011: Lecturer at King Abdulaziz University's Community College for Computer Diploma Courses in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Education

M.Sc. Computer Science, California Lutheran University, USA

B.SC. Computer Science, King Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia
