Vasan Kamalakkannan
About Me
I am a PhD candidate supervised by Dr Gihan Mudalige and Dr Suhaib A Fahmy. Prior to joining Warwick, I worked in Wave Computing as an application engineer. I received my bachelors degree in electronic and telecommunication engineering from University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka.
Research Interests
My current research work focus on Domain Specific Language based translation to accelerate Numerical Algorithms on structured meshes on FPGA devices. In a broad view I am interested in DSLs, hardware design & algorithm optimisation for Reconfigurable Computing.
Teaching
Senior graduate teaching assistant for following undergraduate modules
- CS132 Computer Organisation and Architecture (2020)
- CS141 Functional Programming (2020)
