Mahshid Mehr Nezhad

Background

I am a graduate PhD student in Computer Science, under the Data Science, Systems and Security theme supervised by Professor Feng Hao. My Ph.D. scholarship is funded by the Department of Computer Science, University of Warwick. I hold a BSc and MSc in Software Engineering with first-class degrees.

Prior to joining Warwick, I worked on usable security aspects of captchas, and demand-side management in IoT applications during my BSc and MSc, respectively. I'm currently working on research involving security analysis and the design of e-payment systems.

Research

My research during my PhD is focused on payment security, in particular, contactless payment, from four distinct angles: systematization of knowledge, attacks and vulnerabilities, countermeasures and solutions, and users' perspectives.
